Solstice in Avebury, 2005 ce

An accidental "holyday" following a week's work last June at the Venice Biennale 2005 found me in Avebury Circle - geographical center of England (how did they know?) - on June 21, summer solstice - me and lots of the Goddesses' children - Silbury Hill in the distance, from atop the West Kennet Long Barrow.

This is a test of blog answering. Saw the pole on the rock outcrop. Why necessary to show world?

Dear Anonymous-

"Show the world"? The pole was "outcropped" to examine MY own memories from MY own porch. Though the Yawhists of old did cut her down from "high places" - so, perhaps, she is meant to be in sight of the world.

Someone brought this one down in less than 24 hrs. But all poles will, sooner or later, enjoy eternity on this blog.

New "bile pole" in the works for the Irish on Saturday. Come see him/her. Shabbat Shalom!
